Juan Manuel Fangio was a racing driver, he won five world championships in the worlds greatest sport, car racing.

He was born in Balcarse, Bs. As., and he started racing against the will of his parents, but this didn't stop him, as his neighbours collected money and bought him a racing car, a Chevrolet. With this car he raced in a national race. After racing with this kind of car he said that he would race the Argentinian 1000 km.

He was proclained champion of Argentina for two years in a row.

His first World Championship was with Alfa Romeo, he finished second over all. The following year he finished first over all.

He raced with, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, BRM, Maseratti and Mercedes Benz.

An important incident occured in 1953 in the circuit of Monza, Italy. He won championship for, Ferrari, Mercedes Benz, Alfa Romeo and Maseratti.

In Argentina he is considered a hero.

He died on the 17th of July 1995, and the President Carlos Saúl Menem decided that his body would be laid in state in thePink House.
