One of my
favourites films is "The Truman Show'', which stars Jim
Carrey. It's a kind of comedy which comments things about the
society. The film is set in a big studio in the U.S. The main
character is Truman, a man who is a product of the television.
Since he was born, Truman has been filmed all the time in order
to make a TV program with his own life. He lives in a big studio,
which looks like a normal city, and a director is in charge of
all the things that happen there. At first, there was no problem
because he didn't notice anything abnormal, but eventually he
starts to discover strange things in the "city". That's
why he tries to escape from there and the rest of the film shows
you how he manages to get free.
I think that it's a fantastic film which has a very clever plot
and the acting was marvellous, but in my opininon, the production
is the best thing about the film. You can see that there are a
lot of reasons to watch it and, above all, I certainly recommend
it.
